Description:
As World Bee Day was May 20th, it is fitting that Tony Goodrich, a local beekeeper, can update us on hive technology.
Tony looks after the hive at the Hut. He recently demonstrated a hive split for the Conservation and Ecosystem Management trainees. He is ready for your questions!
Jessa Thurman* will also be on hand to introduce her new book Australia's Incredible Insects published by Australian Geographic. Of course, it has several pages on stingless and solitary bees. A wonderful book for all ages to enjoy. Why not add it to your library?
* UQ PhD candidate who joined us back in December for our Spotlighting and Moth evening.
General meetings are usually held at The Hut, 47 Fleming Road, Chapel Hill, on the fourth Wednesday of each month from February to November. The Annual General Meeting is usually in April, at the start of the April general meeting, with the April talk immediately afterwards.
