Description:

We invite all members to attend the AGM on Wednesday, April 24th starting at 7 p.m.

As well as the President's Report from Charles Worringham, Treasurer Ian Ferguson will present the Financial Report.

THECA's AGM this year features guest speaker Michael Bond, Director, Queensland Water and Land Carers, speaking on "Protecting Country - the important role of volunteer organisations"

We are especially pleased that all three of our local representatives  (Federal Member for Ryan, Elizabeth Watson-Brown, State MP for Moggill, Dr. Christian Rowan and Councillor for Pullenvale, Greg Adermann) have  accepted invitations to attend, with Elizabeth Watson-Brown presiding over the AGM.  (All four guests have significant Anzac Day committments the following day, so we are particularly pleased they can attend and call for a good turn-out to express our appreciation!).

A Director of Queensland Water and Land Carers, Michael Bond is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland. He is passionate about practical, community-led actions in combatting climate change, having witnessed first-hand and at length, the ravages on communities of human rights abuses, mass population displacement, starvation, disease, drought and floods in his 38-year (part-time) Army career.
