Get Involved!

Only with the generosity and involvement of volunteers, members, businesses & organisations within our community, are we able to do to the valuable work we do for our environment. Whether it's a day per month of weeding, a day in the office manning the phone, becoming a member, or offering a financial contribution, any support you're able to offer is invaluable to us. Please consider how YOU can help us today.

Volunteers! We are a volunteer community action group working to conserve and improve the natural local environment, and to inform and educate our members and the wider community about natural history and environmental issues. THECA provides many opportunities for volunteer work, from bush rehabilitation to wildlife monitoring, assisting with office work, creating displays, staffing the centre, or participating in a special project – follow your interests! VOLUNTEER TODAY!

Corporate volunteering is always welcome on THECA projects which can include, tree planting, weeding, protection of vines essential for the rare Richmond birdwing butterfly, occasional Hut clean-ups and administration. AusCo Modular have supported us by bushcare activities in 2023 and 2024. Click to register your interest. Thank you!

Sponsors

Sponsors. As a community group, we wish to keep our membership fees and charges for community activities low. Brisbane City Council supports us through their grants program – for example currently they contribute towards our administration costs and with bushcare support through Habitat Brisbane . To cover expenses such as building maintenance, newsletter production and project costs, we need additional funds. Both one-off and continuing sponsorship are welcome – for example support for the colour pages of our newsletter, or for our ForumSee our list of sponsors.    SPONSOR US
